The 85 should be like the 84. maybe your 85 has the ABS wire and connector on the Differential. on the right side towards the top. maybe the wire harness is not letting it drop enough.

I think there is a bolt holding it in the diff.

There is 4 studs on the Diff that fit into holes on the front and rear side of the Sub frame, and bolted to it. then the Differential mount with the 4 13mm bolts that bolt it to the body.

Could be that the rubber brake lines are keeping it from dropping enough. remove the calipers and hang them on the sway bar with a bungee.
