I have a recurring short in my 240D that sometimes requires me to jump the car in cold weather. But it's not a bad idea to have a booster pack around anyway, since some newer cars cannot easily jump a diesel.

I have been looking at the JNC aka Jump-N-Carry models for a while and there seems to be at least one model that will fill the bill.

I also have jumper cables but that doesn't help if there's no other car around.

Your experience with booster packs that work would be appreciated.

Webmaster/Moderator: Would this be a good topic for a sticky? Understanding the amp draw etc., required, and doing the connecting and checking, in case glow plugs didn't seem to fire? Just asking.
