Kind of an old thread but I could not resist -
You know you own an OLD diesel when you are in a head on collision with a new car and need to do some minor front end repair while the other guy CRACKS HIS ENGINE BLOCK.
Just happened to a friend driving an old diesel BMW, pulled around a double parked car and was hit by a new BMW. I think it was about $500 for his repairs, the other guy not so lucky.
(No one was hurt, by the way)
