Found it, fixed it. Never drove it though.
Bought it last yearfor $500 just before Halloween down in San Diego County, on base at Camp Pendleton, from a US Marine who had stored it for two years just before he shipped out to Okinawa and put it in dead storage outside.
Loading up at the vehicle storage yard in San Diego County, Camp Pendleton, USMC, where, covered with a load of desert dust, finally comes out of dead storage and winched up onto the tow truck I had hired.
Towed it about 600 miles up here and began working on it ...Took TWO used engines, to get it right. But finally got a good 302 in there out of a 1991 Crown Vic.
Had to put in a radiator, starter, new cats and exhaust, and a ton of other stuff (about $2500 in fact!) but it's on the road. Starts up with a lusty roar but runs super!!!
Put on the 2013 California tags the other day and got it through its first smog test since 2002 ( over 10 years ago - it was non-opped fpr years!) and it's a great runner.
Perfect family car and mobile mechanic car. Gave it away a week or so ago, to a friend with a wife and small baby that needs it - and who really appreciates Panthers too.
I love Panthers!!!!! This was my fifth one!!!!
