My wife's keychain has a duplicate of the my 300D's key, and I have one for her 190E. As a final back up, I have a brass duplicate key of my 300D in my wallet (it's thin enough to be unobtrusive).

I always carry a spare key for the mazda in my wallet. I had one made at home depot and I ripped the rubber head off. It wont start the car but it will get me in it. Just yesterday I left my key in the ignition in the run position at work from 2-5pm and when I went to get it in it was locked. I realized I didnt have my key and I pulled out my spare. I then realized I left the key in the ignition and the car didnt start. I had to jump it but it was better than having to get a co worker to take me to my house to get my spare and then all the way back and jump it in the dark.
