I, on the other hand, have experienced problems with E10.
I used to have no issues with my seasonal equipment -- until lately. I used to start up my lawnmower on the first or second pull every spring. Last year I couldn't start it. After taking the carburator apart, I found green gel and corrosion inside. The carburator was almost ruined. A good cleaning and fresh fuel solved the problem. Now I store seasonal equipment dry.
I have a classic car - 1971 Olds Cutlass - that I've owned since 1983. It's stock. About eight years ago I've been getting a lean miss (backfire through the intake) while accelerating. Drilling out the jets 10% helped, but hasn't yet cured the problem. I still need to do some work on this.
Nowadays, 100% gasoline is not offered anywhere near me within any practical distance. I believe they are all at marinas.
Look up "phase separation" with key words "gasoline, ethanol, water" to get a technical explanation of why E10 is a problem for seasonal equipment and storage.
