Yes, I sold a 79 240 4 speed a while ago and have been looking for a replacement ever since. I got 30 in mine as well. $500 seems to be that magic number. I bet if you had been asking $1000 the crickets would have been chirping. Sorry you had to let it go. They are out there still though.
