how to build a big box ?
So, I measured the glass and allowed at least 2 inches extra on all sides. Then you undo the biggest box you have and then refold the box. A 2x4 helps make the new folds more even. Here's a few shots to show you what my garage looked like yesterday morning and the process:
Slide a smaller box inside the bigger box and glue as much as you can. I like to use lots of glue sticks for this.
Glass going in with the bottom of the glass with the electrical connections secured in individual "boxes"
Then I built a tray to put on the top of the glass; then I put styrofoam and bubble wrap and paper inside the box. Note the green areas; it is hoped the window will ride actually upside down; but probably will lay flat.
Here's the finished box.
