I see a couple of 123's on the road from time to time, usually driven by someone old enough to have, A, bought it new, and B, might have been on a first name basis with Gottlieb Daimler.
This is likely the buckle on the rust belt. What doesn't get salted in the winter, gets it from the ocean atmosphere, so I don't drive it much in the winter. And you should see the reaction I get when I translate the 295k miles to 472000 kms. Most don't believe it is the original drivetrain (as far as I can tell).

Although they might if the saw me fire it up on a chilly morning. (Takes a couple of minutes before the cold-diesel-start-up-smoke goes away.)
