I have not used a mechanic for so many years that I have no idea what is reasonable anymore. I understand that that they do have overhead costs and that must factor into their labor rates.

I shot a video of the car from a cold start and will post a link later. It sounded normal so I didn't even do a compression test before making my offer. Mistake?

How many actually get a compression test done before purchase?
