Some auto body supply places will make your paint and put it in a spray can that gives a fan style spray pattern like a real paint gun. I have done large areas with them and had superb results.

When painting over POR 15, you only have a short time window to apply topcoat before POR sets. Otherwise your topcoat won't adhere well. So have everything you will need at hand, then figure out your timing. It's all about prep and planning when it comes to doing great paint/body work.
