I put it between the seat and the console on the little horizontal trim that runs front to back. Very inconspicuous and your hand just falls to it. I secured it with a little pad of the "hooked" side of Velcro.

Unfortunately, those types don't work if you have the newer units with the "rolling-code" system. I bought a few thinking I could consolidate the garages and gate with just one device, but only the gate could be coded.
The newer MBs came with the integrated overhead consoles that you can program. My ML has it and it works on both garage doors and gate!
I believe the company that makes them has a website, since they probably outfit other manufacturers vehicles. Sorry, I forget the name, but I plan to find out what they offer. I'd like a really clean solution for the other two MBs...
