I pulled the trim pieces and dug around with some dental picks. Looks like the rust is limited to the painted area outside of the trim area and not in the track. I poked around and think now that there isn't any rust under the glass gasket. Time to take this to the body shop for some work. Deck lid needs some work too. Benedict, I did notice some scratches on the paint in the track area from a previous replacement.
