I was thinking of a hydraboost since there is a nice, sexy electric pump I was eyeing. It is designed specifically for this type of application. That is, it only goes on when needed and there is a chip already designed into the pump. Obvsiously, junk yard is the only way to go since it is very pricey new. I am not really leaning that way, so I think I will stick to the vacuum side of the house and copy cat the valve idea since maybe I wasnt running my car long enough to get hot and/or I waited too long to yank it so it cooled down. OR, if I really get tired of manual/mechanical steering, then I will revist the hydraboost since that will then incorporate my conversion to power electric steering and that will really solve a bunch of issues and elevate my car to a new level. But, if I go that route, then there goes my supercharger most likely.
