In the current spending environment, "stripped to the bare bones" is a relative term. In such a condition, what do you think the deficit will be..........maybe $400B per year? If so, I'm fine with that.

You cannot complain about "stripped to the bare bones" unless there are funds that are unspent. If you don't have the funds, accept the fact that you must buy less crap.

If you don't have the money in your own household, I'm afraid you'll have to "strip to the bare bones" in order to survive.

The government should be no different.
