In the funnies...

“Gov. Romney [was] at a $50,000-a-plate fundraiser talking to rich people about poor people in a manner you would imagine cartoon rich people talk about cartoon poor people,” Stewart quipped.....

“He was a refugee from Mexico,” Romney’s mother said. “He was on relief, welfare relief, for the first years of his life, but this great country gave him opportunities.”

Stewart summed up the double-standard, he said, of the purveyors of this fallacy, "If they have success, they built it. If they fail, the government ruined it for them. If they get a break, they deserve it. If you get a break, it's a handout and an entitlement. It's a baffling, willfully blind, cognitive dissonance, best summed up by their head coach."

"I've been on food stamps and welfare. Did anybody help me out? No," Nelson said on June 2, 2009.
