I smell a slight gasoline odor sometimes from the canister after driving for about an hour. I need to replace it or just eliminate it and put on a vented gas cap. ???
Don't remove the EVAP system. It does not negatively affect performance (it simply introduces adsorbed gasoline vapors from the gas tank into the engine under appropriate running conditions) and without it and a vented gas cap installed instead you will really smell gasoline vapors. Mark
