Sorry for the delayed response. I haven't been on this page since my comment.

As for organizing, I truly am not prepared to do something like this. Also, i'm new to the MB scene.

I have organized several events over the past 10+ years. Mostly Datsun based. You can google "Datsun Calspeed" for background. So I can offer some tips and experience based knowledge your event.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can't have everything. But you must have certain amenities.

Accommodations. Food. Entertainment.

And if you have a nice size group you might be able to negotiate room rates, a dinner banquet and more.

Since this is a new idea, I would suggest starting small. How about a NorCal meet using the same the principles? Accommodations, food and entertainment. See how it goes and then plan for a bigger meet in May '13.

Just for your info... The Datsun Roadster Meet originally started with only a handful of cars. I think the peak attendance was over 60 Datsun Roadsters in Mt Shasta. The same happened for the Datsun Roadster Solvang Meet.

It is doable but it is a slow process.
