Try 11 quarts...that's what my 6.9l cornbinder diesel needs...at least I can buy the same oil (Delo 15W-40) for both the car and the truck

Before I got the Benz, I had a Ford E-350 with the same 6.9l engine, and was driving to SoCal a couple times a month (my girlfriend lived down there before moving up here with me), and between fuel ($60 to $80 per fueling; got 500 miles to each fill-up) and changing the oil once a month, I wound up dieting whether I wanted to or not...
