Thanks for sharing these tips, I just did this replacement of the 2 bulbs in the climate control unit. The way I got them out was a bit different so I thought to share another method:

- wrap some duct tape around the end of a drill bit sticking out around 1/4" from the end (approx same diameter as the bulbs)
- stick the tape side in and once the tape is over the bulb, twist the drill bit - the tape will wrap around the bulb tightly
- once you got a good grip, pull the bulbs straight out!

Worked easy for me, got both bulbs out on the first try.
