It was reported a couple of years ago that Honda would have a diesel Accord in the pipeline for North America for 2013, but I haven't seen anything recent.

Given the flop of the current Civic, I think all their resources are currently devoted to pushing a new generation of that platform out the door early.

In any case, I would be at the Honda dealer long before I would splash out for anything made by Mazda.
