I've noticed an increase in wooden stocks being for sale in the $40 range. For another $20-$30, the plastic ones can be had, or you can find another Mosin, depending on where you shop. LOL
I did some research today. If what I believe to be an Obrez is true, it's going to have to be handed over to the ATF. According to everything I've read, they aren't legal unless the receiver is new, which they can't be found, or is a repaired one with proper taxes paid. That's a shame, too...because Dad brought it back as a war souvenir from Vietnam, but didn't get proper papers on it. I'm torn on the subject, because it was my Dad's...but I don't want something in my possession that could get me in trouble.
