Phil will be greatly missed for many many reasons. He always helped in a way that made a newbie (me 9 years ago) feel not like a fool. In the world of "who knows more about ???" ego...Phil never pulled the I know more than you, even though he really did in spades. I man truly with no ego and always sincerly helpful. He brought many thousands of us MB geeks and non-geeks alike together...and taught many of us to put our ego aside and just be truly nice and help one another by leading by example...one of his greatest legacies to all of us...and will be carried on. A huge loss to all of us. My condolences to his family.
