I got the stuck nut off. It broke free after a few more tries. I did not have to use the nut splitter. The PB Blaster I applied last weekend must have helped.
The New spring-strut rubber mounts are now installed. No more "Thunk"!!!
This car is amazingly smooth at highway speeds.
