Years ago I had a conversation with a guy who had been instructed to bring his favorite album to class as a part of a musical tastes example. This was his Senior year in high school, in 1969.

He bought the Ventures 'Golden Greats' which features a female model in a gold bikini on the cover and, I think, an inside flap.

This became a very big deal as he was accused of bringing 'lewd' material to school. During a hearing with his Parents it became clear it was the Venture's music that the Teacher had a problem with, the cover was secondary. He said the Principal called a halt to the hearing as it was clear the Teacher had overreacted.

I realize it is too late to save most of you from the evil of the Venture's music. I know my brain was destroyed by it long ago, but if relating this story helps only one person survive the ravages of Boogy-Woogy music it will be worth the telling.
