This may not apply to your situation, but when a dealer does a paint job it's a big red flag for me. Is the VIN on the hood the same as the rest of the car? If there's anything else sketchy about the dealer whatsoever I'd definitely walk. Plus it's too much.

I looked at a car once from a dealer pretending not to be a dealer and selling out of his home. He'd painted and undercoated, and I just didn't trust him. The car seemed like a pretty good deal, though. I went on the internet and called the PO. She turned out not to be the guy's aunt, and she had donated the smashed and totaled car to NPR... caveat emptor.
