I took a couple of pictures for reference, you are right- the upper corners are not molded. I was led to believe that these seals accepted the trim but there is a groove for the trim at the bottom only. Do the OE seals have the groove all around? The URO front windshield seal does seem to have it all the way around.

I have to post the pics on a separate post because they're on my phone.

I sure appreciate Squiggles's feedback, and I believe he had a nightmare for sure. Wish I could get more feed back on our specific models/window seals.
Yeah squiggles feedback is scary but I'm going for it anyway, it may be no worse than some crappy vw seals which I am used to. I have no doubt that the OEM seals are the best. I just hope that the URO seals will work well enough to stop the leaks for a few years. If it's impossible to get them in then I'll report back.

These seals being sold everywhere isn't really an indicator of the level of quality. I find that "you get what you pay for" generally holds true. You're a VW guy so You must be familiar with EMPI. It is sold EVERYWHERE and a lot of it is poor quality. I am hoping that what I paid for in this instance is good enough though.

My headliner pulled out of the back seal when the seal shrank from the sun. I want to try to fix it when i put my new seal in because it is otherwise in decent condition.
