I too had a gasoline smell after a long drive. I could smell it the most along the driver side fender. I removed the plastic shield in the fender well and saw the one of the lines from the charcoal canister had shrunk and became shorter and was barely connected to the little valve attached to the fender. I touched it and it fell right off. I replaced it with a section of fule line. The smell is still there but much much less. I might replace the charcoal canister next. Or attempt to recodition it.
