It is sad that some of those interviewed were protecting the RC. I suspect most of them have children and I fail to understand how they can sit back and defend such an institution when their children could have been a victim.

I also do not believe for a moment that Gomez did not know what was going on. I do not believe a person gets to be that high in the church without knowing what is going on. The hierarchy in the RC is corrupt and dirty. The people who still support the RC are in my opinion delusional and at this point given all the information available, culpable in the crimes committed by the RC.

I agree that religion has out lived it's usefulness. At the very least they create a us vs them divisiveness as epitomized by Marty, at worst they are criminal organizations like the RC has become. I am very glad I have escaped the shackles of 'belief'.
