vacuum lines. the black hard vacuum line from the driver's side of the transmission goes to the VCV valve on top of the IP. there is a green vacuum reducer in there too. if the vacuum lines got knocked free from the circuit, you will have hard shifts.

on the Injectors, did you replace the heat shields?
