BS. Controversy sells. The Chicks got a bump immediately after the event. Perfect example of a media-enhanced sympathy and notoriety.

But they lost their base and their new-found population of adorers didn't really like country music, they liked the politics. The country music people hated the politics and liked the music.

The trade-off was lost market for liberal adoration. They own their decision.

By the way, how many Dixie Chicks albums you your lefties have in your collection. I'm betting 1 album. Maybe 2.....
