Two 300D's, five gas (non-MB). Not a diesel fanatic, especially at $4.20/gal in CA. Maybe someday if bio-diesel gets cheap and gas real expensive I will drive with a smile. I bought a M-B because former co-workers raved about theirs. I now have 2 diesels because I bought the 2nd cheap for its engine to fix the 1st (failed at 330K) and ended up fixing it. One son gets to drive that, and I recently fixed the 1st. What I have seen of affordable M-B gassers turn me off. Most seem to have the Rube Golbergish Bosch Jetronic fuel system, with the swiveling plate in the air flow. People I knew with that on VW's were always fussing with it and paying big $$$.
