1983 NA 300D Euro model

Are there any tricks to getting the heat shields out of the injector holes? 3 out of 5 are stuck.

I've tried a "hook" to get in behind and pull but that didn't work. Is heat my friend in this situation?

Thanks in advance! I need the car this weekend.
