Some people exist only through the social medium basically. Anti social tendencies can and do seem to develop with the more extreme cases I have noticed. Some seem to almost separate from reality as well.. Everything else becomes really secondary at best to them.
Sometime in the future I suspect treatments will be required for some of them. Roy, you may have just run into a growth component of the future. I do see it as a self inflicted disorder. Parents should watch their kids and attempt to regulate or actually try to stop the trend.
The other thing is it is far too time consuming. It has to be displacing normal interaction and learning and perhaps even common sense to some degree. Awareness of this to me emerging and growing problem may save some members from frustations of some simularity to what Roy experienced.
I had been thinking about the symptamatic behaviours I have been seeing in a young fellow for the last while relating directly to the electronic gadgets. For some they become more of an addiction than is healthy in my opinion.
