Well, I went to see the car today and learned there are new definitions of the terms "meticulously maintained" and "excellent condition". Apparently, those descriptions have been broadened to include substantial rust on both rear corner panels right above the wheels (literally crumbling) and on the front fenders. No telling what wasn't visible as I didn't bother checking jack points or anything else underneath. Interior was in good shape with an uncracked dash and the engine sounded good---I didn't bother to pop the hood to look at the engine in detail. The best and highest use of this car is for parts.

This was perhaps the best example I've seen of deceptive advertising--even down to the picture in the ad. I should have insisted on more information before I went out to see it. Oh well, you live and learn. I'll keep looking.
