Yes, that switch will make the light come on as well cause a "limp home" condition. It will also store a fault code (224) in the E-GAS control module. Find the post titled "ASR 400E" and read my reply. It was only a few weeks ago. Sorry I can't tell you how to go directly to it, I'm not the most PC savvy person! Anyway, check it out.
