May Update on Rally Tribute
All of the mechanical work was done last month and since then we have just been driving the hell out of it. The suspension is dialed in nicely although my race car buddy thinks I should go full firm on the front Konis. It is beginning to exhibit a slight flat spot at low rpms and we'll have to look into that. It has electronic ignition and new plugs and we thought the Zeniths were finally tuned.
We moved to Rogers Racing's shop for wiring everything up and fabricating a few brackets and the rally dash. We finished the dash yesterday and it is trial-fitted to the car. We like it. The center gauge is an outside temp gauge and the left is a tach. I just don't think I need to constantly look at it since I'll get used to the sound of the engine. And putting it on the column might complicate the column shifter.
We applied to be part of the Greenwich Concours because we thought it would be a fun attraction for the attendees. It is by no means a concours quality car. I guess they agreed so we are in! June 2nd, Greenwich Connecticut. Stop by and say hi.
