Ah--Now, That makes me think--There were two fittings on the vac side, I do remember fiddling round with those.....
Large bolted fitting for the nylon brake-booster pipe, and a smaller stem for a rubber vac line.
--So, Mystery solved, Somehow a W116 double-diaphragm vac-pump found its way into this engine....
