Failed Smog & have had EGR valve checked by MB mechanic & the EGR valve is fine.
History: Failed NO bad in 2009 So changed Oxygen senser & it brought NO way down
Fail Smog: 2009 fail was close
2009 change O senser & it passed & brought NO way down,
2009 Smog pass: below
See above new O sener brought the NO way down 4 years ago.
2011 Smog was very close with NO way up again:
2011 Barely pass smog: Below
So its really pointing to another oxygen senser...????
As well as checking vacumn, dist cap rotor, plugs?
they all are only 2000 miles old.
Cat is also suspect & running it hot has been suggested to burn off residue?
Its a shot.
As far as cat cleaning can I run it in park? Would it hurt the engine to run it for an hour or so?
I'd do it if it could burn off residue in cat. The cat doesn't rattle.
When the cat failed in the
Volvo it would rattle under the car. I guess my driving habits is killing my Volvo too.

Info on engine
Is that in park or drive? My Idles too low...I can dial it up a bit but is it measured in park? Then it might not be too low
BAR label does say PVC
