No, I'm not talking speed. The temp here hit 120.2F in the shade on our patio yesterday. I had an errand to run around 2 PM. The first thing I noticed in my
'97 CL500 is that the ambient temperature reading tops out at 111F. I wonder if the new Benzes have increased this value. The AC worked well, not the 44F of a few weeks ago but I would guess 55-65F which was certainly cool. I had a opportunity to sit and idle with the AC on. The coolant temp never got above 89C. This engine and my E420 engine run super cool.
A problem did occur though. I noticed that the low fuel warning lights were blinking on and off even though I had a half tank of fuel aboard. I garaged the car, raised the hood and let it cool down to a cool 110F.
Will have to wait this AM to see if the low fuel light goes out.
