A wounded soldier deserves respect, not reverence. The wearing of a uniform doesn't get you a free pass through life. It gets you one from me but not from rules.

x2. The guy was there with his friend, and the beef seems to have been over removing his uniform jacket which he just should have done with help if he needed it.

Everyone else removes their jacket and runs it through the scanner. This is a totally predictable requirement for getting through TSA, especially if your jacket has a lot of metal and other items that will certainly set off the walk through scanner, like obviously a uniform jacket will. His friend could have easily helped him remove his jacket to get through security, instead he wouldn't take it off and they decided to argue about it.

Handicapped people go through security every day, there are allowances and methods to handle people who might not be able go through regular security.

A terrorist can go out and buy a uniform tomorrow at hundreds of locations. Here are numerous marine uniforms for sale on ebay. Wearing a uniform should get you no special treatment when passing through security screening, or any outfit for that matter, because for every legitimate Marine, TSA must assume that some someone with an agenda could simply be wearing the uniform. Thousands of uniformed armed forces personnel go through TSA daily, and submit to the requirements out of common sense.
