I'm with gsxr on getting a 606 turbo block. I want to turbo my 95 diesel, and am looking for a turbo motor for it.

I did think these motors would do fine with minimal boost based off my experience with the Detroit Diesel 6.2 motor. I've had two 6.2s and turboed one. I suspect the inline six mercedes designed motor is much stronger. Shares the basic design of one of the strongest diesel motors IMO, the cummins 5.9 (emphasis on basic) with the inline 6 block and bosch pump. i'm looking for a turbo black because I know that I'll want to go zoom zoom.

It very well may just be the rings, though I think for the same amount of effort and resources you could just swap the block, be worry free and push a lot more HP and Torque
