Actually that does look like its for the 5 spd. Your tranny levers should all be UP. You didn't remove them right?

I had the same problem once when I reassembled my shift rods.
as I remember the longest rod is reverse and its the middle lever on the tranny which I believe is pitched forward when in neutral. Keeping that in mind you might be able to figure it out by trill and error. Sorry I cant be of any more help.
