They're out there, you have to eep looking. If you fiind one, insist that it be tested and that tr seller provide the paperwork. I went thru two heads before I found one that was crack free, it cost me $900 and I had to drive to Columbus, OH to get it (450 mies one way).

As for the work involved, count on 30 hours of your time, and you'll need some special tools (some you have to buy, others you can fabricate). I've been going thru replacing a 14 head with a 22 for the past 8 weeks. It is a big job. I am an IT engineer and am an avid mechanic who loves my old cars (but am not too high in te skills department, I do have tools, time and work space). If you search this forum fr my name, you'll see plenty of my postings plus there are loads of articles from others.
