This is what awaits comprehension with the remote door locks. Im going to try replacing the batteries in the key fobs first. They light up, but I don't really want to get into this situation immediately. hopefully its just a dead battery

Ahh, yes. Your typical 'hack' aftermarket electronic accessory installation - with the usual rats-nest of wiring, crude splices and cable-ties!
A friend recently bought a used vehicle with aftermarket power-locks, anti-theft and remote-starting. Then paid a substantial sum to have it all professionally removed after it caused so many electrical malfunctions that it was virtually undriveable!
