When I ride, 90% of the time, I wear my lid. Riding is a diferent experience w/o the helmet. The wind in your hair, the unique sounds of the bike, you feel more in tune. Helmets can be a pain too. Hot in the summer, fog up, mess up your hair. Also, the pain of having to either risk having it stolen off your bike or lugging it around w/ you. But like I said, I wear mine 90% of the time.
