Recommended Shop - Bavarian Rocket Science, Albany NY

Tried a new (to me) shop this past week and wanted to relay my impressions.

I'll preface with the thought of letting someone else touch my car, let alone leave it there literally keeps me up at night.

My car needed an alignment and these guys are close by so I thought I would check them out. The location is a bit hidden, and the building is pretty non descrip from the front, but once inside is pretty extensive.

The founder has been working on German cars (specializing in Porsches) for 30+ years now, is very personable and willing to answer all questions. Also drives a 300E which is a good sign.

The service advisor (Tom) has worked for several Porsche dealerships and actually 'gets' the whole concept of customer interaction and is a true enthusiast...so the mentality is about making the car right, not getting on to the next customer.

They took time to ask questions about the car, what had been done, how I drive etc. The alignment took several attempts (it was pretty far out) and they werent about to let it go without being dead on. Needless to say it tracks perfect now.

I would definitely recommend these guys to fellow enthusiasts who are looking for some piece of mind
