Are dialectric grease and caliper grease the same thing?

I wondered about this and ran some searches. I saw an ad for a product that claimed to be both. I used caliper grease in place of dialectric grease and it seems to work the same. It looks the same. For some things I was using grease for seals on scuba equipment until I ran out of it.
