Honestly, before reading about extractors on the BM sites, I wasn't aware anyone used those. I can see how it's valuable on an MB with the lower covering the engine and the oil filter being accessed from the hood. You don't even have to drive on ramps to change the oil.

I, however will remain old school and drop the drain plug. It gives me an opportunity to examine suspension bits and so forth as I'm getting oil all over my driveway.
