As MikeD said, it does not go in there far. I was able to slide my hard lines forward a tad, so it was an easy fix without dropping the tank.

That is an odd little piece of hose. My old one said "Made in W. Germany" on it, which is a good reminder of how much some parts of the world have changed since these cars were built.
